The service helps people ranging from the lower risk drinking category through to dependent drinks and works closely with GP practices, the wider community and other alcohol services to ensure that people receive the right support at the right time. The service employs Band 6 Clinical Nurse Specialists in Alcohol and offers specialist services including in-patient detoxification. Commendably the service won the Best Partnership Working award.<br />Now in their fourth year, the national awards celebrate the outstanding projects run by housing associations from across the country. Each region has a number of shortlisted entries and the winner competes against other projects in a national final.<br /><br />This year there were four new sub categories; Best Impact on Residents, Best Impact on the Community, Best Partnership Working and Outstanding Individual, in addition to the main prize What We Are Most Proud Of. Framework’s Last Orders service was competing against <a href="http://www.emha.org/">East Midlands Housing Association -&nbsp;</a>GAP (Gaining a Place) Housing Project and <a href="http://www.placesforpeople.co.uk/">Places for People</a> -&nbsp; High Hazels Green Spaces for People Project. The main award went to <a href="http://www.emha.org/">East Midlands Housing Association -&nbsp;</a>GAP (Gaining a Place) Housing Project who will go on to compete in the national finals.<br /><br />Caroline Thompson, clinical service lead for Last Orders said, “We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved.
